What we built for Gloworm

The proof isn’t a slide deck. It’s the app in your hand right now.

Works completely offline

Every byte ships inside the app. The full line-up, all three days of stage times, the map and the visitor info are there in aeroplane mode. No spinners, no retries, no “check your connection”.

“My Day” personal schedule

Star anything you fancy and the app builds a running order for each day, with a notification 15 minutes before each act. Share the finished plan as an image to the family WhatsApp group.

Family Kit

Each child’s name, age and what they’re wearing today, one tap from a full-screen card a steward can read at arm’s length. It never leaves the device: nothing uploaded, no account needed.

Interactive site & campsite map

36 pins across the whole site. Filter by toilets, food, first aid or zones, tap a pin for detail without leaving the map, pinch to zoom, flip to the campsite view.

Full line-up & zones guide

110 artists and 117 performances across 18 zones, all searchable and filterable. Find the thing your kids came for in seconds.

After Dark

A Glow Stick mode turns the screen into one for the light show: tap to change colour, no batteries, nothing to lose in the grass. Plus a Tent Torch for the campsite at bedtime.

What your event gets

The same thinking, designed around your audience and your brand.

More engagement

Your audience in your app all day, not lost in a paper programme or a slow website.

Works with no signal

Offline-first means it holds up where crowds kill the network. No “please connect” dead ends.

Sponsor-ready value

Premium placements and partner sections that turn attention into sponsorship revenue.

Less print, less waste

Update times and maps in seconds, with no reprints and no landfill of last-minute leaflets.

Everything in one place

Schedule, map, line-up and info in a single app, not scattered across posters, PDFs and a website.

Your brand in every pocket

Not a generic template. Your identity, your event, designed around your audience.

How it works

A big idea, without the big-project dread. Four steps, one honest timeline.

  1. 01

    Discover

A short call to understand your event, your audience and what “brilliant” looks like.

  2. 02

    Design

We shape the screens and the flow around real festival moments, and you see it before we build it.

  3. 03

    Build

AI-accelerated development gets a working app in your hands in weeks, not quarters.

  4. 04

    Launch

Tested on real phones and tablets, live on the App Store and Google Play, ready for gates-open.

Questions, answered

The things every organiser asks before they get in touch.

How long does an event app take to build?

It depends on scope, but our AI-accelerated approach means weeks rather than months. We’ll give you an honest timeline on the first call, mapped to your event date.

Which devices does it run on?

The Gloworm app is native on both platforms: SwiftUI on iPhone and iPad, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on Android phones and tablets. Not a web page in a wrapper, so each one looks and behaves like it belongs on the device. A festival crowd splits roughly evenly between iOS and Android, so shipping one and not the other means failing half your audience.

Will it really work with no phone signal?

Yes. The Gloworm app has no backend at all: every artist, stage time, map pin and FAQ is compiled into the app itself, so the whole guide works in aeroplane mode. That makes the offline guarantee absolute rather than best-effort, which matters at a festival drawing up to 20,000 people across a weekend, onto a handful of rural cell masts.

What happens to families’ personal data?

On Gloworm, nothing leaves the phone. The Family Kit holds children’s names, ages and what they’re wearing so a steward can act on it, and all of it stays on the device: nothing uploaded, nothing shared, no account required. That was a deliberate design decision, and it’s the approach we’d take on your event too.

Can we update content ourselves during the event?

Yes. We set you up so times, maps and messages can be changed on the fly, with no reprints and no waiting on a developer.

What does it cost?

It’s tailored to what you need, from a clear starting point. Tell us what you’re planning and we’ll come back with a realistic plan and price. No hard sell.

Who owns the app?

You do. It’s your app, your branding and your content. We build it; you own it.

Tell us about your event.

Two lines about what you’re planning is plenty to start. We’ll come back with ideas and a realistic plan. No hard sell.
